Bernardo Jerónimo: when he can't sleep, he goes surfing | Photo: Hélio António

Bernardo Jerónimo is a Portuguese bodyboarder. The thing is, he is suffering from "Insomnia."

Jerónimo has been riding some of the best waves in Portugal. You've probably heard of them - Nazare, Ericeira, Peniche, and Figueira da Foz.

"Insomnia" showcases the 26-year-old in the spots where he learned to catch rollers when he was a young grom.

"I had to spend a lot of my free time to be able to capture these sessions. I had to drive many miles every week, under cold winter conditions, to find the perfect conditions," Bernardo Jerónimo told SurferToday.com.

"This video shows exactly who I am as a bodyboarder and as a person. I hope you all enjoy it and that it can make people who have never been to Portugal want to come here because we have, without a doubt, one of the best coasts for surfing in the world!"

"Insomnia" was shot over a period of a year. Will we see Bernardo "Xouriço" Jerónimo riding the APB Tour one day?
