Besides the $50.000 and the 1100 points for the men and 1500 for the girls, the Búzios Bodyboarding 2010 will offer external activities throughout the entire week. Check out what the organization has scheduled for the week.
The competition will be broadcasted at www.ibabuzios.com. This year there will be two language channels were you can choose between English and Portuguese/Spanish.

On Wednesday May 5th there will be a free Trolley tour Búzios Trolley is the best way of knowing the peninsula. You will make a wonderful tour in 12 beaches and 2 belvederes, and be sure that it will be unforgettable. The Trolley is completely open providing you a view without "frames" and you can fell the smell of the sea, the pure air, the wind and everything you need to have a feeling of real contemplation of the most beautiful and hardly ever visited places in Búzios.
The entire trip takes 3hours and the Trolley bus will be leaving at 12:00 PM from Geribá Beach. We have 35 places available on the tour so if you are interested send you name to Flávio Brito -

On Thursday May 6th there will be a Autographs and DVD night The most coolest place in Búzios, The Chez Michou Creperie, will be hosting a film and autographs night. The event will start at 7:00 PM.

On Saturday May 8th will take place the official party The Tartaruga beach will host the official party for the competition. The party will start at 9:00 PM.
On Sunday May 9th Show Ponto de Equilibrio and Julio Serrano will bring the reggae and MPB(Popular Brazilian music) to the city of Búzios. The show will be free and will start at 4:00 PM in Búzios downtown
I'm in Rio how do I get to Búzios? Búzios is located 180km from Rio de Janeiro. The Best way to get to the city is by bus. From Rio's bus station there are busses heading towards Búzios every hour. The Only bus company that operates to Búzios is the 1001 bus company. The ticket cost $20 per person. There are buses leaving Rio to Búzios every hour. When arriving to Rio's International Airport you can get a bus or a cab to go to Rio's bus station. The name of the bus station is Novo Rio Bus Station. You can get information at the airport. Usually it take less than 20 minutes from the airport to the bus station. On Tuesday May 4th there will be a free bus leaving Rio de Janeiro at 2:00 PM towards Búzios. The Bus will departure from the end of the Leme beach, located right beside the Copacabana Beach.
The shuttle bus service can be hired as well. The shuttle leaves Rio de Janeiro International airport directly to Búzios in pre determined schedules. It costs per person $70 dollars and needs to be booked in advance by the following email -
