IBA World Tour: global bodyboarding hunt

The International Bodyboarding Association has announced the provisional schedule for the 2013 IBA World Tour competitions.


Two classic bodyboard contests have been dropped from the 2013 IBA World Tour Grand Slam Series. The Box and Sintra Pro Portugal are no longer in the elite list of events.

New to the IBA World Tour is the NSW South Coast Mobile Challenge (Australia), the South Africa Challenge (South Africa) and the Saint-Leu Challenge (Reunion Island).

Also, the Drop-Knee World Tour will be decided in four stages, only, that is Hawaii, Peru, Portugal and Puerto Rico.

The IBA World Tour Global Qualifying Series sees the new QLD Pro and the Moroccan Challenge. The Women's World Tour remains almost the same with the Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival replacing the Port Macquarie  Festival of Bodyboarding.

The 2013 IBA World Tour kicks of with the Pipeline Pro, from the 16th February to March 2nd.

Dieter van der Eyken is one step closer of being crowned the 2013 Belgian Wave Windsurfing champion.
Bredene, in the Belgian province of West Flanders, held an intense weekend of wave windsurfing action. On Friday, all sailors completed the single elimination of the competition, despite the medium size waves and light winds.

Delphine Cousin is shining a light in the 2013 French Windsurfing Championship, with a victory in the second stage, held in Brest.
Despite the difficult conditions - three days of disoriented and gusty winds - sailors were able to complete two races. The organization worked hard to try to get more races, but even if the windsurfing fleet had spent many hours on the water every day, nothing could be done.

Nuno Azevedo sweeps fourth Luso Galaico Championship title

Nuno Azevedo has conquered the bodyboarding division of the XV Luso Galaico Championship, a competition between Portuguese and Galician riders.
