USBA Tour: close-out extravaganza

Economic constraints and the lack of a title sponsor have forced the restructuration of the United States Bodyboard Association (USBA) Nation Tour 2013.

Jason Bitzer, founder of the USBA National Tour, has announced that the 2013 season will be reformed to create a sustainable national ranking system.

Supported by the regional organizers, changes will take effect on the scheduled stages. The Superstorm Sandy has put the Jenks Pro on hiatus for 2013.

It will be replaced by a Central Florida rated USBA event, held in conjunction with Kenny Lawrence of the Florida Bodyboarding Association. The Sandy Beach Pro/Am will be the first rated event on the USBA 2013 National Tour. The event will run between 6th-7th July.

The USBA Hawaii Regional Tour will not be running in the 2013 season. A new circuit under the management of the IBA Hawaii will run events for Pro athletes, only.

"We hope to grow more regions and local organizers willing to create successful events in their region and keep the movement going on their home soil", explains Jason Bitzer.
