IBA Tour pro bodyboarders ready for Rio das Ostras

Rio das Ostras 2008 

Everything is ready for the 4th IBA world tour event that will happen from July 24th to 27th in Costa Azul Beach, in Rio das Ostras, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The competition will distribute $30.000 dollars and 1000 points in the world ranking.
 
The mandatory check in will take place on Wednesday July 23rd from 9:00AM to 7:00PM in Rio das Ostras Bodyboarding house, right beside the Costa Azul beach.
 
Seems to be coming for next week a good swell that might bring nice waves to the competition staring on Saturday. As usual, the Rio das Ostras Bodyboarding 2008 will have online web cast starting Thursday 24th 9:00AM local time.

Dave Hubbard conquers the Senor Frogs Sandy Beach Pro

The 2008 Senor Frogs Sandy Beach Pro went off without a hitch this past 4th of July weekend. Over 80 competitors came out to test their skills at Half Point, the world famous reef break on Oahu’s south shore.

Both days of the two event where started with Amateur rounds and many amazing rides by new comes like Alex Brown, Matthew Holtzman, Bubu Casamerio and many more. The Amateurs gave the Pro’s a heads up to where the future of the sport is going with consistent surfing through out the two days.

The 13-18 AM division was one by Alex Brown narrowing out his Kauaian friend Matthew Holtman by 2 points. Trevor Cam and Alan Lamphere followed up with the 3rd and 4th sport respectively in the final.

Next in line where the Open Am heats in which another Kauaian Travis Smith made an impression while JB Hillen from the Westside of Oahu made a big push on to the USBA with his first USBA event!

Bodyboarding British Nationals

The Auto Sleepers 2008 British Nationals will be held on the 27-28 September 2008 at Porthtowan, Cornwall. The entry form for the 2008 British Nationals sponsored by Auto Sleepers is now available on the British Bodyboard Club site.

This promises to be the biggest and best competition so far with a huge prize fund of £3000 and an Open 1st Prize of £1000. Entry places are expected to be taken up very quickly so please do not delay if you wish to enter.

Dieter van der Eyken is one step closer of being crowned the 2013 Belgian Wave Windsurfing champion.
Bredene, in the Belgian province of West Flanders, held an intense weekend of wave windsurfing action. On Friday, all sailors completed the single elimination of the competition, despite the medium size waves and light winds.

Delphine Cousin is shining a light in the 2013 French Windsurfing Championship, with a victory in the second stage, held in Brest.
Despite the difficult conditions - three days of disoriented and gusty winds - sailors were able to complete two races. The organization worked hard to try to get more races, but even if the windsurfing fleet had spent many hours on the water every day, nothing could be done.

Nuno Azevedo has conquered the bodyboarding division of the XV Luso Galaico Championship, a competition between Portuguese and Galician riders.
