We've been publishing too many stories about severe disasters with kiteboarders. Some lose their stamina out in the ocean, some are dragged by strong winds into the urban areas.
Kiteboarding requires, as many other sports, a long learning curve before greater adventures. The other day, I got another bad kiteboarding new. Pedro, one of my best friends, got injured in a leg and will be off the waters for the next 45 days.
SurferToday.com has been writing about hazards in the ocean and we have recently published an interesting guide to all watermen. It talks about rules, the common sense in the water and some safety procedures as we all need to respect the wind and the other sportsmen.
I hope kiteboarding and kiteboarders reach higher levels of recognition in the sports world. Who knows what surprise could London 2012 bring us?...
