Pete Cabrinha: young at heart

What do Pete Cabrinha, Keahi de Aboitiz and Reo Stevens do aboard Discovery, a Lagoon 570 catamaran?

Have you ever thought about "The Value of Nowhere?" Three experienced kiteboarders have set on a journey of exploration through the French Polynesia.

The 20-minute kiteboarding movie written by Pete Cabrinha tries to answer a simple question. What is the value of being far from the rigors of social obligation?

"Boat life in a place like this is as relaxed or as busy as you want it to be. There is no shortage of things to do, and the scenery here is beyond spectacular," explains Cabrinha.

"A kite is arguably one of the most efficient forms of producing natural power. With this simple device we can propel ourselves across the water at speeds up to fifty miles an hour and get to the most isolated edges of these already remote atolls."

"The Value of Nowhere" was directed by Anders Krüger.
