Nick Jacobsen has taken out the 2017 Red Bull King of the Air, at Cape Town's Big Bay, in South Africa.
The Danish hellman defeated Aaron Hadlow and Ruben Lenten in the final held under the classic "Cape Doctor, the strong local southeast wind, and in front of 8,000 kiteboarding fans.
The 2017 Red Bull King of the Air will be remembered as one of the tightest editions ever; nearly all heats were decided with small scoring differences between riders.
"This feels incredible! This is my first international win, and I can't believe I just won Red Bull King of the Air! Riding in the final with Ruben and Aaron, two legends of the sport, was just amazing! I'm speechless," expressed Jacobsen.
Local rider Oswald Smith won the "Mystic Best Move" for a breathtaking Kung Fu handle-pass. Lewis Crathern ended up firing the "Biggest Boost," a 19.4-meter air that immediately conquered the crowd.
