Torrin Bright has taken the first place at the Oceanbridge Sail Auckland 2013, a competition with over 200 sailors from 10 countries.
In the last day of kiteboarding races, winds gusted up to 30 knots to set the final rankings. Kiteboarders took part in Sail Auckland for the first time and provided the third biggest fleet, right after the Lasers and the OK Dinghy fleet.
Torrin Bright, from Tauranga, extended his lead on the fleet of 20 riders, extending his chain to six race wins in a row. Dave Robertson, also from New Zealand, took silver and Matthew Taggart, from the United Kingdom, won bronze.
The best female kiteboarder was Justina Sellers, from New Zealand, who finished 12th in the Open fleet. Lisa Hickman took silver and 17th place in the overall rankings.
The RS:X windsurfing divisions were dominated by Nicolas Goyard and JP Tobin.
