Andre Phillip won the 2009 Triple-S Invitational

The Triple-S Invitational is the international free ride “world championships” of kiteboarding, held every year in Cape Hatteras, Noarolina.

2010 marks the 5th year of the Triple-S Invitational, scheduled for June 5th to 11th 2010. After four extremely successful Triple-S events, this has become a highly anticipated event on the pro kiteboarding calendar.

Mark your calendars now with excellent spectating, event parties and award ceremonies open to the public, you cannot miss any of the Surf, Slicks and Sliders action. The Triple-S will feature the top pro kiteboarders in the world riding and competing in a unique freeride format that allows them to push the sport further than ever before. A total of 24 athletes will be scheduled to participate in the 2010 Triple-S Invitational.

The Nassp team has been invited as Team New England to compete in the 2010 HAM Challenge against Team Hawaii and Team Gorge.

The team with the fastest 3 runs averaged together over the 100 meters, 1 mile and 500 meter jibe course will be declared the 2010 HAM Champion.

Windsurfers will go head to head with the kitesurfers to see who is the fastest sailor and craft and who has the fastest piece of water in America.

KTA Vietnam

2010 is up and running and so of course is the KTA tour as we head for round three at Mui Ne in Vietnam at the end of this month.

Mui Ne is a well established kiteboard destination in Asia and one with a reputation for regular strong wind conditions, so be sure to also pack your small kites if you are thinking of heading there to compete.

The KTA Vietnam will be running from the 28th – 31st January on the beachfront that runs between the C2Sky kite centre at the Sunshine Beach Resort and Sankara. C2Sky are the KTA’s main local organiser and are the people who can help you out with accommodation, transfers and even visas.
