PKRA '08 heads to Leucate in France

The next stop of the PKRA Kiteboarding World Tour will be the city of Leucate, located in the southwestern coast of France. From April 12 to 18th, more than 50 world-class kiteboarding athletes from all over the world will be competing at the renowned Mondial du Vent, the most prestigious kiteboarding event in Europe.

This is the first time that the PKRA World Tour competition will be held in France and the addition of Mondial du Vent to the ever expanding realm of the PKRA solidifies the Tour's credibility as having the best kiteboarding events in the world.

More than 160,000 people are expected to grace the event with a full week of fun-filled and exciting kiteboarding and windsurfing actions. The best kiteboarders in North and South America, Europe, Australia and other parts of the world will be battling it out for a chance at the €45,000 purse and will be competing in three disciplines - Freestyle, Course Racing and Long Distance.

Fuerteventura World Cup ready to go

We are happy to announce the organization of the 2008 Fuerteventura Speed:World:Cup.

The windsurf event (25.07-02.08) will be held as one-off world championship, the kitesurf event (18.07-23.07) as part of the world tour, counting towards the world championship.

Atmosphere kite festival set to Westward Ho

A new generation of kite festivals is being born, and Flexifoil have announced a major involvement. Atmosphere 08 is a truly inclusive event which will encourage participation from all those who enjoy harnessing the power of the wind with the power of a kite, whether on land or water.

Genuinely the first event of its kind, Atmosphere 08 will ‘open skies and open minds’. Flexifoil are supporting the event at the highest level, and most of their team riders, both land and water based, ill be taking part in the festival.

Catering for every kiter, whether they are experienced or a novice, whatever their discipline, there will be plenty of opportunities to get flying, and enjoy a unique festival vibe both on and off the beach. Dieter van der Eyken is one step closer of being crowned the 2013 Belgian Wave Windsurfing champion.
Bredene, in the Belgian province of West Flanders, held an intense weekend of wave windsurfing action. On Friday, all sailors completed the single elimination of the competition, despite the medium size waves and light winds.

Delphine Cousin is shining a light in the 2013 French Windsurfing Championship, with a victory in the second stage, held in Brest.
Despite the difficult conditions - three days of disoriented and gusty winds - sailors were able to complete two races. The organization worked hard to try to get more races, but even if the windsurfing fleet had spent many hours on the water every day, nothing could be done.

Nuno Azevedo has conquered the bodyboarding division of the XV Luso Galaico Championship, a competition between Portuguese and Galician riders.
