Sam Stinnett: skimming in impossible ways

Sam Stinnett has conquered the 2012 Cabo Clasico, held in Cabo San Lucas. The 2011 United Skim Tour (UST) champion kicked off the new season in great style, during the three days of competition run under strong winds and shoulder-to-head high waves.


The final heat had three world champions: Sam Stinnett, Paulo Prietto and Bill Bryan. In the first half of the decisive play, Prietto got the best waves and took a comfortable advantage. Yet, it was not decided who would take top honours.

Bill Bryan was doing his job and trying to keep up with the highest scorers. After the half way mark, Stinnett was going to change things. A 360 barrel, despite not feeling very good with a few stomach problems.

Cavite Skimfest III: Philippine riders shine in the town of Rosario

Local authorities of Rosario are studying the possibility of pushing the town as the skimboarding capital of the Philippines.


The Cavite Skimfest III, a skimboarding competition held in the region of Cavite, has attracted many participants and enthusiasts. Watch the highlights of the Cavite Skimfest III.

South Side Shoot Out: showcasing the best skimboarders in the world

The 2012 South Side Shoot Out presented by Skim USA and Alley-Oop will be hitting the sands and waves of the South Side of the Indian River Inlet, in the Delaware State Seashore Park, between 2nd-3rd June.


The Pro-Am skimboarding competition is the fourth stop on the Skim USA Tour, as well as the second stage of the professional United Skim Tour.

The amateur divisions will be open to riders of all ages and skill levels. All competitors will receive a free competition t-shirt and complimentary lunches both days.The 2012 South Side Shoot Out will showcase the world's best skimmers competing in Delaware’s famous shore break.

Dieter van der Eyken is one step closer of being crowned the 2013 Belgian Wave Windsurfing champion.
Bredene, in the Belgian province of West Flanders, held an intense weekend of wave windsurfing action. On Friday, all sailors completed the single elimination of the competition, despite the medium size waves and light winds.

Delphine Cousin is shining a light in the 2013 French Windsurfing Championship, with a victory in the second stage, held in Brest.
Despite the difficult conditions - three days of disoriented and gusty winds - sailors were able to complete two races. The organization worked hard to try to get more races, but even if the windsurfing fleet had spent many hours on the water every day, nothing could be done.

Nuno Azevedo has conquered the bodyboarding division of the XV Luso Galaico Championship, a competition between Portuguese and Galician riders.
