Kingii: big wave surfers might try out it | Photo: Kingii

Kingii is the world's smallest personal inflatable device. It can save lives, and it is rechargeable.

The Kingii (ken-gee) is named after the Chlamydosaurus kingii, also known as the frilled-neck lizard. This animal found mainly in northern Australia and southern New Guinea.

The idea behind the Kingii is quite simple. Annually, around 372.000 people drown around the planet, and most of these drowning incidents happen within 100 yard of the shore due to rip currents, exhaustion or lack of safety.

So, how could a small portable device save thousands of lives of swimmers, divers, beachgoers, fishermen, sailors and water sport enthusiasts? By making it non-invasive, reliable and easy to use.

Kingii is basically a water security device. It fits on your wrist and dramatically reduces the risk of drowning. Are you suffering from a leg cramp while surfing? Activate Kingii.

"The Kingii is reusable as many times as needed. Just take out the used Kingii Cylinder, fold the bag back into its pouch, screw in the new Kingii CO2 Cylinder, and you are ready to get back to the beach, lake, river, pool, or favorite fishing hole!" the brand explains.

Kingii provides buoyancy to people older than six, and to adults in excess of 124 kilograms (275 lbs). The adjustable wristband fits everyone.
