Gulf Night Surf

The Night has arrived, the Gul Night Surf is this weekend and the surfs’ up!!! With only 3 weeks to organise the legendary event and save the night surf we have done it. The weather is looking good and the swell is on it’s way. The Gul Night Surf has attracted a world class line up, with Britain’s top surfer and Gul team rider Russell Winter back from the Maldives and looking forward to surfing his home break.

We would like to thank all our sponsors for making this happen, it was only 4 weeks ago that the night surf did not have an official sponsor. Gul stepped in to save the event with the help of many local company’s. They include: Britanic Industries, Fistral Blu, Anns Cottage, Beach Night Club and Custard Point Surfboards.

Rob Harris of Anns Cottage comments "Its great to be sponsoring the Night Surf event, making sure it stays in Newquay" adding "Supporting this event helps to raise the profile of the sport, encouraging future development" Gul merchandise will be for sale in Anns Cottage at Fistral Beach or online www.annscottagesurf.co.uk .

The event is centred around the Fistral surf complex which is the perfect place for developing the Gul Night Surf and establishing it for the coming years. “The Event has been organised in a very short time and I can’t thank enough everybody who has helped to organise the event.

The Fistral surf centre is such a great venue and with the new beach bar / café open we can really utilise everything the complex has to offer. We are looking forward to this weekend as it always attracts huge crowds” (Jake Patterson Gul Brand manager). In addition to the event the beach complex is offering free Night time (after 6pm) parking to local people through the Newquay Voice newspaper.

New on the tour for this event is live streaming so if you cannot make it down to Fistral you can catch all the excitement at home at http://www.tiger24.com/ .

The event is obviously a surf event, but there will also be some fantastic free entertainment over the weekend from, live bands to burlesque dancers!
