Reef presented the World Premiere of Cancer to Capricorn : Path of the Modern Gypsy, at the Regency Lido Theater in Newport Beach as part of the Newport Beach Film Festival's Action Sports Film Series.
The film was directed and edited by Russell Brownley, a talented new face within the world of surf cinematography. Brownley, working along side Chris Bryan who arguably is one of the most talented water photographers in the industry today, made Cancer to Capricorn one of the greatest surf movies of 2010. Watch the Reef team traveling to exotic locations in search of new cultural experiences and perfect surf, and you'll be dusting off your passport and on the next flight out.

The evening began with Rob Machado, Tonino Benson, Ben Bourgeois, Mike Losness, Paul Fisher, Nick Rozsa, Alana Blanchard, Chris Waring, Ross Williams, Sean Moody, Steph Koehne and Adam Bennetts arriving to the premiere in classic safari vehicles where Fuel TV's Blue Carpet Special was in full swing. And what would a Reef event be without the beautiful, exotic Miss Reef Girls in tow.
The Reef Team introduced the film to a packed theater and even surprised two lucky attendees, who had golden tickets hidden under their seats, with signed Rob Machado and Mike Losness surfboards.
The evening's festivities continued at the Newport Beach Film Festival's official after party held at the Sports Club of LA in Orange County.
With a massive projection over the pool showing clips and unseen footage from the film, the Miss Reef Girls on site displaying Safari style body art and Paul Fisher and Adam Bennetts on the turntable, Reef's presence was huge and they once again proved they know how to throw a good party.
