Two of Britain’s most successful surfers are coming to Swansea to share their surfing knowledge with lucky Welsh surfers.
Russell Winter, the first ever European surfer to make it into the top 44 surfers in the world, and Ben Skinner, currently ranked 5th in the world longboard rankings will be spending 2 days coaching on the Gower peninsula.
Top Welsh surfer Lloyd Cole, who is hosting the weekends, says “this is the first time that we have been fortunate enough to have such highly acclaimed surfers come to Swansea.
The weekends are open to everybody that has a reasonable level of surfing, and will enable you to surf closely and learn from the best Britain currently has to offer.” Ben Skinner’s longboard weekend will take place on August 14th-15th.
As well as surfing and coaching Ben will be bringing many surfboards from his own label ‘Skindog Surfboards’ for people to try out over the two days. Russell Winter’s shortboard weekend is running in conjunction with a bodyboard weekend with British bodyboard coach Rob Barber
These two academy’s will take place on September 11th-12th.
