Gracetown Beach: we've lost a friend

A 31-year-old surfer was killed by a shark off the coast of Western Australia.

Nick Edwards was attacked at South Point, Gracetown, 270 kilometers south of Perth. Our friend was transported to Margaret River Hospital but died after losing too much blood.

The surfboard was broken. A large number of seals may have attracted the shark to the surfing area. The beach was closed after this sad event.

Please make sure to go surfing with friends. Never hit the surf alone. Check the shark attack map.
