CP - Comboios de Portugal: surfer-friendly trains

Surfing is becoming one of Portugal's national sports. Located in Western Europe, the country's quality waves are known everywhere. But what is truly amazing is the growing passion for wave sports like surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and bodyboarding.

The state-owned company CP - Comboios de Portugal, which operates freight and passenger trains in the country, is welcoming surfers and surfboards in their railway carriages.

This absolutely surfer-friendly company has informed its passengers that they can carry boards, alongside the obvious priority given for people with disabilities and pregnant women.

CP could have added a bicycle sign but, instead, has underlined with visible information that all surfers can travel to their favorite coastal spots with their gear.

This photo was taken in the beautiful São Bento train station, located in the heart of Porto, in the North of Portugal.

All traveling companies should learn with CP - Comboios de Portugal and strengthen their support for our enthusiastic and eco-friendly wave sports.
