| Clark Little opens photo gallery in Haleiwa |

The Clark Little Gallery Haleiwa will open its doors on the 26th February, in Hawaii. The surf photographer has a rare talent for capturing some of nature’s most beautiful moments, often risking his safety in the process. The elegant 1,000–square foot gallery, designed by Hawaii fashionista Deb Mascia (Mu'umu’u Heaven), is situated in the center of Haleiwa town, just minutes away from the beaches where Clark captures most of his powerful images. On exhibit are a wide variety of open and limited editions, comprised of underwater seascapes, turtles in the surf and Little’s signature shorebreak waves on mediums including glossy prints, giclee canvas, plexiglass, and aluminum. These presentations showcase the breathtaking photographs’ naturally brilliant and impressive colors. Not to be missed are three photographs recently honored by the prestigious Windland Smith Rice International Awards, one of which garnered the 2010 Oceans Photography Award. Clark was also one of six photographers from around the world awarded the distinction of Highly Honored Photographer of Endangered Species for his photography of the endangered Hawaiian green sea turtles. These winning images can be viewed at the gallery before they are exhibited at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC from mid-April to September, 2011. Clark Little was born in Napa, California in 1968. Two years later, a move to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii dramatically changed his future. Clark has gained national and international recognition for his shorebreak wave photography with appearances on national television shows and in many publications including National Geographic, Nikon World, Paris Match, La Vie, Sierra, Geo, Nature’s Best Photography, PhotoLife, Rangefinder, Stern-View, Surfer’s Journal, Surfer Magazine, Surfer’s Path, Hana Hou (Hawaiian Airlines) among others. |
