The London Surf Film Festival has announced two European and seven UK premieres, to be screened at the iconic Riverside Studios, in Hammersmith, between 13th-15rh October.
“We have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of high quality international feature entries submitted to the festival by both surf filmmaking luminaries and up and coming Independents, so making the official selection has not been an easy task”, says London Surf Film Festival founder Chris Nelson.
“I’m stoked on our line up, I think it’s an incredible way to kick off the UK’s first International surf film festival and speaking with the filmmakers, guys like Kai Neville and MIkey DeTemple they’re totally stoked to be screening their work in this cultural capital to an amped and knowledgeable British audience.”
"Come Hell or High Water", directed by Keith Malloy and "Fighting Fear", by Macario DeSouza will be the European premieres.
Filmed over three years, "Fighting Fear" provides a unique insight into the worlds of big wave rider Mark Matthews and his close friend Richie Vas, two world-class athletes and their personal challenges in sports with deadly consequences. From the director of Bra Boys, the highest grossing documentary in Australian history.
"Lost Atlas", "Sight | Sound", "Splinters", "The Still Point", "First Love", "Finnsurf" and "Stoked and Broke" are the UK surfing premieres. Discover a complete list of surf movies.
