Jenna de Rosnay and Sui Mai: the body painted stars of Neil Pryde

Jenna de Rosnay is one of the first female advertising stars in the boardsports industry.

The Californian windsurfer, who stood out in the 1980s for her speed sailing skills, was famous for a body painting ad designed for Neil Pryde.

Almost 30 years later, the brand decided to invite professional kiteboarder Susi Mai to recreate the iconic Jenna de Rosnay wetsuit ad, this time in the era of digital photography.

In Hong Kong, inside the Red Dog art studios, the blonde beauty is getting ready for a marathon of body painting, in which details matter.

"It's pretty awesome. It is the first time I've done any sort of body painting. Really exciting to see how it turns out", Mai reveals.

The fake wetsuit shoot for Neil Pryde goes well, with the correct lighting and a great atmosphere.

The final result is pretty interesting. The sepia tones of Jenna de Rosnay's ad get a new flavor. Susi Mai gets orange and black to reveal an overall spiritual look.
