The Slater Brothers Invitational will be contested in Cocoa Beach, Florida, between 26th-28th October. The event helps raise educational awareness and funds for the prevention of skin cancer.
In the last six years, the Slater Brothers Invitational has attracted world-class surfers such as Kelly Slater, CJ and Damien Hobgood, Rob Machado, Benji Weatherly, Taylor Steele, Shea and Cory Lopez and many more.
The Slater Brothers Invitational has provided a platform for free skin cancer screenings and has helped fund programs, such as beach signage, to educate those who enjoy outdoor activities about the preventable deadly disease of skin cancer.
There will be an invitation-only surfing and skateboarding competition, as well as live music, skin cancer workshops and a Slater Brothers "Look-Alike" Contest.
The World Skin Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization working since 2005. The 7th Annual Slater Brothers Invitational is expecting a large swell.
