Out In The Line-Up: a great gay surfing documentary

"Out In The Line-Up" is a documentary about homosexuality and surfing that examines why people think there aren't any gay surfers.

The surf film tells the story of all gay surfers who seek acceptance, happiness and some really good waves, without any type of discrimination.

Filmed in Ecuador, California, Mexico, Brazil and Australia, "Out In The Line-Up" is a 75-minute documentary made by several teams shooting in all different locations.

Gay surfers are also inviting people to work on the project, from both within and outside the gay surfers community. The spirit of surfing is freedom, yet many surfers don't feel so free.

Why does homophobia still exist in surfing? Why are there no "out" gay surfers on the pro-surfing tour? And why are straight surfers so reluctant to talk about it?

The surf movie takes you on a global journey to meet gay surfers, such as three-time world longboarding champion Cori Schumacher, former US pro surfer Robbins Thompson, former New South Wales state champion David Wakefield and many more.

Ian Thomson is the director behind the "Out In The Line-Up" documentary. The film is due for release in December 2013. Check all the surf movies in the market.
