Taking a three-wave hold-down will not be a problem, as "Triton" will give you the ability to breathe underwater somewhere in the future.
The inventor of "Triton" calls it the oxygen respirator concept. South Korean designer Jeabyun Yeon believes that his prototype will change our marine lifestyle in the near future.
"'Triton' allows us to breathe underwater for a long time by simply biting it. It also does not require the skill of breathing in and out like a conventional respirator", explains Yeon on his homepage.
"It extracts oxygen underwater through a filter made of fine threads with holes smaller than water molecules. This technology was developed by a Korean scientist. "
"Using a very small but powerful micro compressor, it compresses oxygen and stores the extracted oxygen in the storage tank. The micro compressor operates through micro battery, a next-generation technology 30 times smaller than current batteries", he adds.
"Triton" was inspired by James Bond's re-breather and in Star Wars gear. If the prototype gets into production, surfers will be transformed into human fish. Wipeouts won't be a problem anymore.
However, experts say that the new scuba mask concept would need to filter 90 liters of water per minute in order to supply oxygen at normal resting breathing rates.
