Jordy Smith: he loves showers

Eight top surfers prepare for the Red Bull Nightshift, in Cape Town, South Africa. The concept is simple and thrilling: a night surfing session with tow-assist from jet skis.

Local star Jordy Smith will be joined by Craig Anderson, Damien Fahrenfort, Ricky Basnett, Travis Logie, Rudy Palmboom, Warwick Wright and Royden Bryson. The 2010 ASP World Tour runner-up will try to shine in his home country, in front of hundreds of spectators.

In the Red Bull Nightshift surfers will be towed behind the jet skis into waves and projected into the sky for high performance aerial moves. Prepare for super contemporary surfing with highly motivated new school surfers.

Zoltan Torkos: the magic surfer

Zoltan Torkos says he is the first surfer on Earth to have pulled two kickflips on a surfboard. Have you done it first? Do you know someone who has done it before?

If not, the Santa Cruz trickster has reasons to celebrate. The surfing kickflip is definitely not easy because you're working in a liquid surface. The kickflip is also known in the skateboarding world as "magic flip".
