The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Snickers, Event No. 2 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour, relocated to Winkipop for Round 3 and the opening four heats of Round 4 today where perennial threats went ballistic in the rippable three-to-four-foot (1 metre) reeling righthanders.

Taj Burrow (AUS), 31, current ASP World No. 1, has been in sensational form lately with nearly a flawless competitive record over the past five months, and showcased exactly why throughout two heats today. In a hard-fought battle against explosive rookie Matt Wilkinson (AUS), 21, Burrow surfed flawlessly, netting a 17.04 out of a possible 20.

Chris Davidson: power surfing

Round 2 of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Snickers was completed today as event organizers relocated to nearby Thirteenth Beach to take advantage of the available swell on offer.

Event No. 2 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach completed the opening round of competition at Bells Beach over the weekend, and today's move to Thirteenth Beach saw the greatest assemblage of surfing talent in history light up the punchy two-to-three foot (1 metre) beachbreaks.

Jodie Nelson: woman meets whale

Professional surfer and Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) ambassador Jodie Nelson became the first woman to paddle 39.8 grueling miles from the island of Catalina to Dana Point yesterday. She finished in 9 hours, one minute and 21 seconds, all in an effort to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and prevention.

Jodie started her journey at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, the only person doing a solo paddle as part of the Ohana Ocean Catalina Challenge. On the top of her paddleboard, she had printed names of loved ones close to her who were affected by breast cancer. Her mother is a breast cancer survivor, her aunt is a cancer survivor and one of her dearest friends is currently battling the disease.
