Wakeboarding: not just a board and a rope

The WWA Wake Park Triple Crown 2014 will kick off at Cajun X Cable Park, Louisiana's first and only full-size cable wake park in Lafayette, on the 27th June.

The second stop of the Wake Park Triple Crown, at Terminus Cable, will also be a WWA Wake Park World Series event. This promises that top riders from around the globe will travel to Atlanta to compete for WWA Wake Park World Series points, their share of the prize purse and the overall WWA Wake Park World Series Championship.

This event series is set to continue to bring the most impressive action and biggest names to wake parks across North America. The final event will wrap up the season at the now world famous BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas.

In its 5th year the WWA Wake Park Triple Crown guarantees to further set the standard for quality events and athletic performances at wake park events on a global scale.

This year, top name riders such as Tom Fooshee, Daniel Grant, Raph Derome and James Windsor will travel to these three unique cable parks to compete for the individual event titles and the Wake Park Triple Crown overall series championship.

Overall points will be awarded based on each rider's finish at each stop, accumulating points over the three-stop series for the opportunity of winning the 2014 Wake Park Triple Crown Overall Championship.

Four-time winner, Tom Fooshee, has held the title since the inaugural year of the series, however, with the beginning of the 5th year, many top-ranked international riders will have their eyes set on the top of the podium.
