Harley Clifford: the trickster

Harley Clifford has stormed the final stop of the 2014 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to claim the overall title.

The finals took place with thousands of fans on the shores of Millennium Park. The excellent wakeboarding conditions matched the competitive excitement. There were titles at stake.

With Clifford in the lead, the decisive runs saw Phil Soven putting down two incredible passes that included the switch nose-grabbed crow mobe 540, and nose-grabbed moby dick 540, finished with a wrapped nose-grabbed backside rodeo 540.

Lior Sofer: hitting the Control button at Norsjø Cable Park | Photo: VM Cable Wakeboard 2014

Lior Sofer and Sanne Meijer have won the 2014 Cable Wakeboard World Championships, at Norsjø Cable Park, Telemark County, Norway.

With the finals up and running, and after crashing in his first run, Sofer risked everything in his second and stuck moves like 315, Crow Mobe 540, Pete Rose and Frontside 900 at the kicker.

He scored 94.33 points, ousting San Im from first place. Im had scored 85 points in his first run, sticking tricks like S-Mobe 540 Nose Grab and Backside 720 Melon. Third place went to Frédéric von Osten.

Puerto Cancun: wakeboarders' heaven

Puerto Cancun, in Mexico, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the World Wakeboard Association (WWA) with the most elite contest of the 2014 season, between October 3rd-5th.

The WWA Wakeboard World Ranking will be used to determine the top 15 pro men's and top 8 pro women's riders pre-qualified to the Cancun Pro. The Mexican debut will be pulled by the 2015 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV.

"We are using the same boat that I have on my dock at home, and this boat delivers! I can't wait to see what goes down from the best riders in the world, because the wake will be dialed," explains Brian Grubb, the driver for the Cancun Pro.
