The 2014 Luderitz Speed Challenge is over. A total of 11 national records and one world record were broken in the Namibian speedway.

Windsurfers and kiteboarders from 17 countries gave all they had in the windy channel. Many were able to improve their personal best, and a few others have set new speed records for their flags.

The fastest sailor of the 2014 Luderitz Speed Challenge was Sébastien Cattelan, who took his kite at 53.90 knots.

Patrik Diethelm was the fastest windsurfer with 51.18 knots. Disabled kitesurfer Chris Ballois established a new speed sailing world record.
