The best 100 surfers will compete for Audi NeilPryde Windsurfing Baltic Cup 2008. From June 27 - 29 in Latvia the best windsurfiers from around the region will gather in the town of Pavilosta to compete in the tenth Annual Audi NeilPryde Windsurfing Baltic Cup 2008, which is a part of the World Rating Table. "I am delighted! This is the tenth anniversary for the NeilPryde Baltic Cup a long-lasting tradition in Latvian windsurfing. Each year we see new achievements and the competition is unique because the weather conditions and tension never repeats itself from year to year and in a way places new challenges for mastership of the surfers”, says Ansis Dāle, a surfer and representative of the competition’s organizer - Extreme Sports. The Windsurfing contest is supported by the world’s leading windsurfing equipment producer NeilPryde and Audi. The Cup presents a unique possibility to see in one place more than 100 highest class surfers. The Audi NeilPryde Windsurfing Baltic Cup 2008 is included in the International Formula Windsurfing, as well as Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian and Finnish windsurfing associations’ calendars. Audi motto “Vorsprung durch Technik” (advantage in technology) precisely characterizes also the regularities in windsurfing – very large experience and advantage in sailing technology should be inherent in order to win the highest level windsurfing competition. Therefore I wish each Audi Neilpryde Windsurfing Baltic Cup 2008 participant to prove its “advantage in technology”!” This year Audi NeilPryde Windsurfing Baltic Cup 2008 competition participants will fight for the main award in Formula Windsurfing, as well as Cups in the Raceboard, Olympic RS:X and youth Techno 293 classes.
