Mark 'Scratch' Cameron and Jill Noble are the new Scottish Surfing champions. The national competition was held in the famous wave located at Thurso-East. Surfers battled in five divisions and the winners will represent Scotland in the ASP's O'Neill Cold Water Classic and qualify for a place in the Scottish National Surfing Team.

Australian Stephanie Gilmore, three-times World Surfing Champion, was named Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the Year 2010. The female surfer beated windsurfer Antoine Albeau and fellow surfer Mick Fanning. Chris Cole and Danny MacAskill were also shortlisted for the award. Jamaica's Usain Bolt has been named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for the second consecutive time.

On tuesday all the FWC riders did have a very good day sailing at Entubadera, a famous surfing spot next to Flag Beach. The conditions didn't look great at first sight, but finally everyone took some good waves and was reeping! Though, we couldn't launch any competition because the wind was too gusty. Antoine Albeau has won the 2010 Masters of Caribbean. The French windsurfer was the fastest in this 50-kilometer race held in Guadeloupe Bay. Because of the poor wind conditions, the race committe decided not to do the crossing from Guadeloupe to Martinique. Cyril Moussilmani got the second place.

The Cape Classic is Cape Town's premium Bodyboarding event. It will be the first "Green" Bodyboarding event of its kind in the world.
