The talented young Frenchman, Jules Denel (Exocet) has just landed himself an awesome deal to use the full range of former PWA World Champion Patrice Belbeoch’s equipment lines. This will include the newly launched XO sails and the well-proven Exocet boards.
Denel has been on the tour for a couple of years now and is steadily improving his Slalom ranking, as well as making an assault on the wave tour. At just 19 years old, he has plenty of years left to make his mark on the World Tour.
“I have a strong desire to continue to work hard, to progress, to listen, and to take advantage of my breakthrough at Sylt this year. It really lifted me to another level, and I’m super happy about my competitive equipment from XO sails and Exocet, as well as the opportunity of learning from the rest of the team and Patrice Belbeoch himself.
The attitude amongst the racers on the international Exocet team is great and it largely contributed to my good results in the 2009 season. It is of course also an honour and an inspiration to be one of the first XO sails racers out there, and I will do my very best to prove I’m worthy of the trust given to me.
I’m off to Fuerteventura now to get some sailing in, hopefully I’ll get plenty of footage and pictures from there. I’m looking forward to another exciting season on the PWA tour in 2010!”
