Following some great results on the French slalom circuit, and moments of excellence on the PWA Tour in 2009, Pierre Mortefon (Fanatic, North) has found some new sponsors to help him realise his dreams in 2010. Mortefon commented: “I’m really happy to be joining the FANATIC / NORTH / ION team this year. I’ve already tested my new equipment and I’m very happy with it. To summarise, it’s extremely fast and easy to use! Moreover, the relationship with my team manager is excellent. They have put plenty of trust in me for this season, giving me the means to meet my ambitions. This year promises to be busy now with the PWA Tour and the FFA. I would like to thank both the JP and NeilPryde teams for the last 3 years. However, this change gives me a boost of motivation, and I'm going to invest 100% in myself and hope to not disappoint anyone!” Fanatic Brand Manager Craig Gertenbach commented: “We've been watching Pierre's progress the last few seasons and were very impressed with his fast progress, especially his 2009 season was very impressive! Pierre is the perfect addition to our slalom team and will re-enforce our continued support of slalom racing, in both the French Tour and the PWA World Tour. We look forward to Pierre's results this season on our Falcon slalom boards, and a bright future together!” North Sails Product and Brand Manager Raoul Joa commented: “We've been looking for a second young French Slalom rider besides Cyril Moussilmani (Fanatic, North) during last year as France is still the biggest Slalom market in the world plus most of the top riders come from France. In the end we have chosen Pierre as we feel he is the newcomer with the greatest potential. During the PWA events that he entered this year he already showed really great results. We are convinced that with his new Warp F2010 sails he will show his full potential. So we are really happy to welcome Pierre to our team!”
