Bjorn Dunkerbeck: end of the marathon

Bjorn Dunkerbeck and Karin Jaggi are the winners of the 2011 Lancelin Ocean Classic, held in Western Australia. The 25-kilometer down wind marathon was another great success. The event is growing every year and, this time, more than 200 wind riders competed for the glory.

The 2011 Lancelin Ocean Classic was run with 20-to-25 knots wind. The conditions were simply perfect.

Dunkerbeck finished the course in 33m11s. He was 44s faster than Chris Lockwood, the second best time. In third place comes Jesper Orth with 34m05s. Karin Jaggi was the best female rider and the 11th in the overall ranking.

Jaeger Stone dominated the waves with his radical polished style, getting up over local legend Luke Walmsly. Last year's winner Ben Severne was third and Simon Hurrey took 4th.
