The 2012 NeilPryde Racing Series will kick off in Pattaya, Thailand, on the 5th May. After the successful inaugural year, the first event of the season promises a spectacular display of close-quarter racing at Ocean Marina during the Top of the Gulf Regatta, Asia's largest sailing regatta.
NeilPryde Racing Series is a tour featuring the ISAF universal one-design windsurfing class, RS:One. The RS:One Class features an attractive and dynamic race format making racing a spectacle for the watching crowds and allowing windsurfers of all levels, ages and genders to compete together.
Top Asian athletes will compete on the RS:One along with local windsurfing heroes and London Olympic Games representatives from Thailand. The winners of each division will share the US$3000 prize money.
The NeilPryde Racing Series is delighted and honored to be associated with Istanbul, Porto, Cardiff, Trapani, Nice and Rio de Janeiro legs of the action-packed Extreme Sailing Series renowned for its unique stadium racing format that delivers all the action close to shore, right in front of the spectators.
The global circuit spanning three continents brings together the best skippers on the planet, from Olympic medalists to round-the-world record holders, competing against each other in state-of-the-art 40-foot catamarans.
