Howard Plumb: a Mistral master

Howard Plumb, a British Olympic windsurfer, suffered multiple injuries in a cycling accident in West Sussex, and passed away at 42.

Plumb represented Great Britain in the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, in the Mistral windsurfing class.

The athlete suffered severe head injuries following a collision with a car in Knight's Hill, Charlton, and was taken to St George's Hospital in London by air ambulance.

The Yard: because wipeouts happen

"The Yard" is a Russian adventure into the world of big wave riding, in Hawaii.

Sergey Gilgenberg and Dmitry Bogdanov have teamed up to film an artistic documentary focused on a simple plot. It's a story about different people and how they managed to link their lives with the ocean and its huge waves.

"The Yard" features big wave surfers and big wave windsurfers. They do what they have to do, in the most extreme conditions. They have let the ocean alter their lives.

The Maui Race Series are celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The Maui Race Series have been attracting Slalom windsurfers to the second largest island in Hawaii for 30 years. For 2014, there are five stages being held between June and August.

After the Carbon Art Challenge and the DaKine Classic, the Meanline Fins Slalom kicked off in light but steady, north winds. Twenty-five heats were sailed across multiple age divisions.
