UK windsurfers: the fleet is coming at full speed

Pryde Group UK, NeilPryde and JP Australia have teamed up with FC Watersports, Animal and local windsurfing businesses to bring an action-packed weekend of fun windsurfing, Freestyle, Slalom Racing and demos.

The 2010 UKWA competition season has started well with several successful events, now the Freestyle Tour joins up with Slalom for a double whammy event at Branksome Dene, Bournemouth on 8/9 May.

Whether you’re a serious contender for International fame or just starting out, there’s something for you in Freestyle windsurfing as the various categories allow everyone to compete at their own ability level and in their own age group in both light and strong winds.

PWA Podersdorf: these sails need wind

The finest freestyle fleet in the world were totally becalmed on day five at Austria's Neusiedler See.

With every hope that the forecast would be wrong, the event organisers were ready to release the frustrated freestylers out of their equipment tents and onto the lake at 06:00.

However, the wind gods were not with them, and refused to allow even the lightest of zephyrs to blow into the contest zone.

Margarita Wild Winds: wild windsurfing scheduled

The Margarita Wild Winds 2010 will be held from 24th May to 30th May, at El Yaque Beach, Isla Margarita.

There will be Slalom, Long Distance & Freestyle for the Windsurfing and kitesurfing competitions.

The Rumba Fiesta Party is schedule for all nights.

Sailors will also compete for the Venezuelan National Championships.

The Margarita Wild Winds 2010 will be judged with the PWA World Tour rules.
