The 2015 Association of Professional Bodyboarders (APB) has confirmed that the 2015 APB World Tour season will be run.

Worldwide bodyboarding fans may relax. Yes, there will a professional bodyboarding circuit traveling to some of the planet's best wave peaks. And yes, the APB World Tour insignia is alive and kicking.

"The 2015 APB Tour is shaping up to be an exciting year with new events, old events returning and a new category for Pro Junior," Alex Leon, general manager at APB, told

"We test-trialled a few Pro Junior events this year and the concept proved to work well. It is paramount for the future of our sport and creates a perfect competition platform for the teenagers."

Leon confirmed that the IBA World Tour will not make a comeback. The 2015 APB World Tour schedule is being "fine-tuned" and "a tentative calendar will be released by the end of the month."

Last year's APB World Tour crowned Amaury Lavernhe in five venues: Pipeline, Itacoatiara, Arica, Antofagasta and Sintra. It is not likely that the APB World Tour will feature fewer stages in the upcoming 2015 season.

The push through, or punch through technique allows surfers to get past a small broken wave and reach the lineup without having to duck dive or turtle roll.
