The Frontón King 2014 will be surfed between 20th-23rd December, in Gáldar, Canary Islands.

In 2013, the most famous bodyboarding slab in Europe was left out of the professional circuit. But the Spanish riders wanted to keep a decent competition up and running.

Miguel Macias won the first ever Fronton King. Now, the event is bigger and better, with improved infrastructures, live online broadcasting and 5000 euros in prize money.

With two parallel world competitions scheduled for 2015 - the APB and the FSWT - it is expected that the Frontón King will return to the highest arena of professional bodyboarding.

El Frontón is a fast, bone crushing reef break that comes to life with northwest swells and offshore winds. Although it classified as a left-hand wave, it also offers deep right-hand barrels. A must-ride, for experienced bodyboarders only.

On January 17, 2018, Portuguese big wave surfer Hugo Vau had a day he will remember for the rest of his life at Nazaré's Praia do Norte, in Portugal.
