Noah Symmans has conquered the inaugural round of the 2016 SunSmart WA Bodyboard Titles, held in Mandurah, in Western Australia.

The new generation of bodyboarders is taking over, and Symmans proved why he is the undisputed Australian bodyboarding champion. The rider from Albany dominated the Open Men's and the Under 21 divisions at the iconic Mandurah Wedge.

"It was hard work out there today. It wasn't anywhere near as good as this place can get, but there was a couple of little wedges out there, and I'm stoked to take the win," expressed Noah Symmans.

The Open Women's division returned for the first time in several years, and Bronwyn Fricke was able to to defeat new comers Sarah Harrem and Elisha Lucas in an exciting exchange.

"It was so great to be out there sharing the waves with the girls. I've never surfed the Wedge before, and I think I've still got a lot to learn," added Fricke.

The always competitive Under 18 category saw Brad Harrington controlling the lineup. A massive roll out to the flats awarded him the win.

"It was pretty hard out there, but if you found a good ramp it was sick. I surf here a lot, and it's always a bonus to have a win at your local," concluded Harrington.

The next stop on the 2016 SunSmart WA Bodyboard Titles is Yallingup on the 14th and 15th May.
