Sacha Specker claimed the prestigious Sniper SA Tand Invitational 2016, in South Africa.

The experienced bodyboarder-photographer scored a Perfect 10-point ride in the final against Charles Pass, Wilder Schultz, and Andre Botha. Specker's near-perfect heat of 19.83 points proved he is a well-deserved champion.

"Thank you, everybody involved in the Tand Invitational and, of course, all who competed, shared it, celebrated it and supported me. What an amazing event! So pumped," expressed Sacha Specker.

The rider from Cape Town landed huge back flips and kept his blood cold in the barrel. The conditions were spectacular with four-foot waves, offshore winds, and warm temperatures.

Michael Ostler, winner of the 2015 edition, was not able to survive the early rounds. The Shaggy Choice Award 2016 went to the Andre Botha, who went over the falls on one of the crazier waves of the day.
