Shark Island Challenge: the video highlights will be available at APB TV | Photo: SIC

The Association of Professional Bodyboarders (APB) have announced the launch of a new bodyboarding video hub.

The APB TV - available at - will centralize the APB World Tour video highlights, but it will also deliver clips produced by athletes, fans, and bodyboard clubs.

"We believe strongly in exposing young talents that may not have the chance to be recognized in the public eye, so we have designed a channel to target that exact demographic. It's the Grass Roots channel," the APB explains.

"In the user submission channel, all you need is a camera. Once the video is uploaded, it will be viewed by our professional panel. If approved, it will be upload online for the world to see."

The APB TV will also promote monthly competitions, and the best video publishers will win prizes. The new media hub kicks off with six episodes of the major Grand Slam events, and an extended wrap-up video of the Shark Island Challenge.
