The 2017 APB World Tour will be broadcasted live to 22 countries.

The joint-venture between the Association of Professional Bodyboarders (APB) and aims to expand the visibility of bodyboarding across the globe.

The new live stream deals will allow viewers in countries such as Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Korea, Maldives, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand to enjoy all the action from this year's pro bodyboarding season.

"Bodyboarding is the sleeping giant of action sports. The strength of the Tour is second to none, and we're delighted to partner with to ensure fans receive comprehensive coverage of our sport," notes Alex Leon, CEO at APB.

Both parties believe that this is just the beginning of a new era for bodyboarding. For, now, the agreements also include 30-minute event highlights packages with the best rides of each stage.

The 2017 APB Men's World Tour is comprised of nine events held in Hawaii, Tahiti, Brazil, Chile, Portugal, and Spain.

On January 17, 2018, Portuguese big wave surfer Hugo Vau had a day he will remember for the rest of his life at Nazaré's Praia do Norte, in Portugal.
