Port Macquarie Pro: great waves

The first day of the Pro event in Port Macquarie was amazing!

The event was moved to North wall and it turned out to be a great decision as some of Australia's best bodyboarders put on a real show for the crowd on hand.

Some of the standout's included world Tour competitors Damian King and Jared Houston as well as Nathan Branch and Tom Rigby.

Rigby scored the best two wave combination of the day with an incredible display in the perfect 3 footers that bounced off the wall.

"That quarter final was amazing" said Rigby. "Everyone was so pumped and the waves were insane so I was stoked to win it"

The event continues tomorrow with all competitors to meet at Town beach at 7am for an 8am start.

If the event is back at North wall follow the road past McDonalds all the way to the end. Take the car ferry across the river to the other side and turn right and follow to the end.
