Stars of the Waves: turn on the lights

The Baía Beach, in Espinho, Portugal, welcomed the first night bodyboarding show ever held in Europe. The "Stars of the Waves" was a dream coming to life.

The expectations were high, but the 20 best Portuguese bodyboarders did everything to greet the spectators. No one was captured sleeping, even with the lights out.

Despite the small size, there were minimum rideable waves for everyone to show their tricks and skills. And the tow-out session was a reality, confirming that the "Stars of the Waves" will return to Espinho, in the next year.

On January 17, 2018, Portuguese big wave surfer Hugo Vau had a day he will remember for the rest of his life at Nazaré's Praia do Norte, in Portugal.
