Donosti Air Show 2010: a Spanish torero

The current Spanish bodyboarding champion, Guillermo Cobo, has won the 6th edition of the Gazte Kutxa Donosti Bodyboard Air Show, in La Zurriola Beach, in 3-to-4 foot waves.

Guillermo becomes the first Canarian rider to win this international event. The final was tough as the conditions changed and the riders had to fight to find some clean potential waves in the mess. Despite the harsh conditions, Cobo used his technique to land a perfect Air Roll Spinner scored with 7.56 points.

Aritz Larrinaga got second making some nice maneuvers, such as a nice Air Roll and an Invert Air on a set wave. Young local rider, Borja Gainzarain was the big surprise of the event as he got third doing some big moves. He actually also got the best move award thanks to a big Invert Air. Antonio Ortiz was 4th.

In the first round, super experienced rider Ardiel Jimenez was the stand out as he secured a 8.83 point big Air Reverse.

Final results of the Donosti Bodyboard Air Show 2010:

1st Guillermo Cobo
2nd Aritz Larrinaga
3rd Borja Gainzarain
4th Antonio Ortiz

Best Move:
