El Fronton: gnarly

Two world bodyboarding champions, one international rider and a local competitor in every quarter-final heat. Meet the "Wild Wild Wave El Fronton Invitational", a super star challenge to kick off in prime surfing conditions, at the Canary Islands.

The heat draw is complete. One by one, names were plucked out the fins and called out by event host and commentator, Manny Vargas. The names cut through the crisp morning air and echoed off the stone walls.
