The Custom X Pro Junior 2011: several trains in line

António Cardoso has conquered The Custom X Pro Junior 2011, in Praia do Cabedelo, Figueira da Foz, Portugal. Despite the small waves, the best European bodyboarders showed why they keep dominating the sport at planetary level.

The Women's final was intense and tight. Cristina Lorenzo Aparicio, from the Canary Islands took the title of the European Under 20 bodyboarding champion from the hands of Teresa Almeida, Madalena Pereira and Ana Sofia Esgaio.

The crowd was clearly supporting the Portuguese riders. Playing at home, Cardoso displayed a very solid bodyboarding with a clear final score of 15.83 points. That was enough to beat Alex Odriozola with 12.97 points, Daniel Fonseca and Miguel Adão. Watch the video highlights.

The best wave of the event and the best combination of two waves were scored by Cristina Lorenzo Aparicio. The Spanish rider scored a 9.33-point ride and a best heat total of 17.33 points.

Hugo Pinheiro and Pierre Louis Costes showed up and met with the youngest bodyboarders in Europe.
