Ian Kruger: red deck needs sponsors

Ian Kruger has taken out the David Lilienfeld Tand Invitational Trials, at Yzerfontein, in clean 2-3ft waves. The bodyboarding event made history as this is the first contest to make use of a live scoring system, in South Africa.

Everyone was really excited to potentially be a part of the Tand Invitational main event. The opportunity turned up the heat in the water and the level of riding was impressive, at least.

The groms were something to note as all of them stepped it up. Trials winner Ian Kruger will be riding the main event along with Jason Folwer, Andrew Raath and Tomas Degenaar, who secured the next three places.

Fifth placed riders Corban Warrington and Bjorn Coetzee, as well as Vaughn Harris, take the last spots. If anyone is unable to attend the main event, the reserve rider is Ian Viljoen.

The live scoring system, aptly called "Score Bru", was developed by PJ Venter. This is a massive leap forward for the entire industry it will change bodyboarding in South Africa for the better.
