Dallas Singer: ready for the 2013 IBA World Tour

Dallas Singer has been awarded an injury wildcard by the International Bodyboarding Association for the 2013 Grand Slam Series.

The IBA World Tour is introducing, for the first time ever, the concept of injury wildcard voted on by a committee of IBA officials and pro bodyboarders.

The criteria is based on the nature of injury, supported by medical documentation, as well as the reasons behind the injury and the rider's rating on Grand Slam Series, prior to the physical problem.

The Australian rider suffered a severe injury to his ankle whilst bodyboarding in Chile, after the IBA Arica Challenge, in May 2012. Dallas suffered a stage 3 break in his ankle (both fibular and tibular), which affected his 2012 IBA GSS Tour performance.

Dallas Singer will be seeded in the 25th position. The GSS Trials will distribute five tickets to the main event, adding to two wildcards announced by the organization.

The 2013 IBA World Tour will kick-off with the Pipe Challenge, from February 19th to March 1st, on the Hawaiian North Shore of Oahu.

When you reach the "End of the Road," you're all by yourself. Are you sure you're ready to get barreled at Tahiti's infamous Teahupoo?
